Pisa

You have disappeared again,
Just as suddenly,
Just as far,
Just as unfortunate,
For me.
For you,
I do not know any more.
I miss you,
And it hurts so much greater that you do not miss me,
For this distance,
Is intentional,
And solely imposed by you.
My pillar is leaning,
The foundation is sinking,
It may hold,
It may not.
But the longer the distance persists,
The slow slip will bear down,
I miss you,
And it hurts so much greater that you do not care,
Will the words be too little too late?
This interim is evil,
Are you even troubled?
I do not know what to do any more.
I do not understand you any more.
But I love you.
I always will.
Are you taking advantages of that?
Or have you chosen to close the door,
Turn off the lights,
Hide under your red, red covers,
And pretend you are not home?
In any way,
My pride was lost when we met,
But your stubbornness prevails.
I guess you want to choose our fate,
However unfair that sounds to me.
In the end,
I truly hope you are doing well,
And everything will work out for you.
Sail away from me, honey,
What will be will be.
